I’ve owned several homes in this area, and have many clients who are also convinced of the potential investment value of this area.  There is a little subdivision called Meadow Creek with homes built around 1974.  The homes range in size from 1,000 to 2,000 square feet and are reasonably priced in the $100,000 to $200,000 range.  This is a terrific value for Austin, with the average price per square foot around $120.  These homes generally have an open floor plan the nice deep lots… everything a first time home buyer looks for their searching for the best bang for their buck!

I have a listing at 7209 Lunar that is the most charming little home you could imagine.  Nestled under a huge live oak grove, the home has an arched entrance, vaulted and beamed ceilings and a lovely screened in back porch for summere entertaining!  Typical of many homes in the area, this design makes the pickiest buyer feel right at home.  If anyone is looking for a friendly neighborhood, close proximity to downtown and affordable living, try South Austin… it’s a whole other world!
