Delwood is an older established subdivision; which is located off of 51st Street. It sits a few blocks away from I35 and is located just a block North from the Mueller area. There are many shops surrounding the subdivision, as well as, restaurants.
The homes in Delwood remind me of “I Dream of Jeannie” homes. Most have the windows that you have to turn to open, and they open out rather than up and down. The houses were built in mid 1940’s to mid 1960’s. The area is prime property because of the location and ease of driving into the city.
Delwood is only moments to downtown Austin with an easy drive just about anywhere with I35 only blocks away. I love the feel of Delwood because of old style charm and convenience to the new Mueller Mall.
